The University of Southampton Clinical Trials Unit provides expertise in the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials. The CTU is particularly valuable for investigators running interventional and multicentre studies. Our expert staff will help with protocol design, costing, grant submissions, site set up and the smooth running, timely recruiting and high quality data acquisition and analysis. Our regulatory and governance framework ensures compliance with legal requirements of the European Directive on Clinical Trials and we have been a fully registered UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) Clinical Trials Unit since November 2007.

The UoSCTU receives core support from Cancer Research UK and from NIHR to develop and manage a balanced portfolio of studies. We review all applications against our current capacity and strategic priorities. Priorities with respect to our portfolio and national need are reviewed regularly with a view to achieving a balanced portfolio.
